Kansas City Adult Entertainment: Anthony Bourdain No Reservations: Meat Me in Kansas City

April 17th, 2012

As Zamir eats chicken, Tony wanders the train tracks, drunk on bourbon. Soon, some strangers — Dan and Patrick from the Black Keys — pick him up offering more bourbon and adventures. Clearly they are insane killers, so to confuse them and deter them from the dismemberment they have planned, Tony lures them to a barbeque joint.  They’ve come all the way from Akron (which, Tony reminds us is a breeding ground for serial killers).  The Keys and Tony bond over horror stories of bad wonton soup as they wait for the food to arrive at the Wood Yard. Tony, still clearly scared about his impending massacre at the hands of these hipster rockers, wonders whether or not to fashion a weapon out of a chicken bone. In the end, Tony was left unharmed and the Black Keys head north to sell out Madison Square Garden.
After more barbeque at a roadhouse and some chatter about how gangsters and prostitution led to jazz, wh …

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – An AWOL soldier’s simple scheme to defraud one of the richest men in the world has landed him in federal custody, according to a criminal complaint. In the complaint unsealed Monday, federal investigators allege Brandon Lee Price changed the address on a bank account held by billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, then had a debit card sent to his Pittsburgh home so he could use it for payments on a delinquent Armed Forces Bank account and personal expenses.
Strauss-Kahn’s French lawyers: Lust isn’t a crime
PARIS (AP) – Lawyers defending Dominique Strauss-Kahn against allegations he was involved in a French prostitution ring say he is being unfairly targeted for his active extramarital sex life and committed no crime. They are also protesting a judge’s order barring the former International Monetary Fund chief from talking to the media pending further investigation.

Kansas City Escorts: Liberty Counsel to Represent Anti-Gay Activist in Uganda Lawsuit

March 24th, 2012

The Liberty Counsel press release also contains a reference to Kato. “The lawsuit claims that beginning in 2002, Rev. Lively preached in Ugandan churches and shared his opinion on homosexuality and pornography. It further claims that as a result (albeit a convoluted one), some members of the so-called LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex) community faced discrimination, and one (SMUG Advocacy Director David Kato) was killed on January 26, 2011. The suit leaves out the fact that the suspected killer is a male prostitute with whom Kato had sex and refused to pay.”

And yet a completely different story of the killing was presented during the trial. In a Nov. 11, 2011 Daily Monitor article on the 30 year sentence handed down to the killer, who was then identified as Sidney Nsubuga Enoch, 22, there is again no mention of the killer being a “male prostitute,” or that the killing was over unpaid-for sex. Rather, it is described as a murder committed in retaliation for sexual advances made by Kato.

Kansas City Strip Clubs: Is Scott Drew merely misunderstood?

March 13th, 2012

Drew leaned over and began to whisper. “They have a ministry for strippers,” he said.

We started to sing, and as Drew lent his voice to praising God the thought of strippers and church stuck with me. Did Scott Drew not understand that simply remarking on such things would open him to criticism — to winks and jokes, to enemies guffawing with a smug sense of self-righteousness that of course Drew knew about a ministry to strippers, that of course the pretty boy hiding behind the Bible knew of such things.
Maybe he did understand. Maybe he did not. What seemed certain to me in the church with him as he looked at the cross and let himself go in his singing was the fact that maybe it was just about faith. About his belief that folks can be saved, and that even strippers are worth celebrating when such things happen.

Kansas City Escorts: JASON RUSSELL2012: Evangelist Elmer Gantry For 21st Century?

March 10th, 2012

People are scared of Liberty University. You guys know this. They’re scared because they see the power and potential in this room, the conviction you have, the connectivity you have. And they look at this arena and they go, ‘that’s scary – if they realized what they could do, it would revolutionize the world.’ That’s why you’re here.
And so I think that it is that insecurity or that realizing, ‘I don’t have what it takes’ – but you do. We do. And, the trick is to not go out into the world and say, ‘I’m going to baptize you, I’m going to convict you, I have an agenda to win you over.’
Your agenda is to look into the eyes, as Jesus did, and say, ‘who are you? And will you be my friend?’ – Like he did to the prostitutes, the tax collectors, the fisherman. The biggest mistake that we make is to saying, we make a line and we say, “black, white, are you in or are you out?”

Kansas City Adult Entertainment: Judge questions sex case

March 8th, 2012

Davis was charged and convicted of promoting prostitution with a person under 18 in Marion County, Ind. Davis served three years in an Indiana prison. He was released in 2004.

A Jackson County judge has given prosecutors a week to make direct connections between victims and the Kansas City man charged in sex crimes involving teenagers in Independence. Norman E. Davis, 52, of Kansas City, charged with attempted forcible sodomy, second-degree attempted statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct involving a child, appeared before Judge Jeffrey Bushur Wednesday for a bond-reduction hearing. What began as a request to lower Davis’ $100,000 bond became a question of whether the description of the defendant, given by one victim to investigators, matches Davis accurately. “If you go with the probable cause, I’m not sure you have a case,” Bushur told prosecutors. Prosecutors said Wednesday and last week that the investigation isn’t complete. Court documents show that one victim told police that on Jan. 6, he wa …

Kansas City Escorts: Move to Enshrine Limbaugh With Missouri’s Greats Draws Ire

March 7th, 2012

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — You will not find T. S. Eliot or Maya Angelou or even Chuck Berry in the Hall of Famous Missourians. Yogi Berra? Jean Harlow? Langston Hughes? No, no and no. Getting into the hall was even one caper that neither Jesse James nor Calamity Jane could pull off.
But please make way for Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host whose planned entry into the hall has prompted an outcry.
Armed with the latest batch of his derisive comments — Mr. Limbaugh called a law student who testified before Congress in favor of access to contraception “a slut” and “a prostitute,” remarks for which he later apologized — Democrats and progressive groups are waging an uphill campaign to exclude the talk radio king from the pantheon of notable sons and daughters of the Show Me State.

Kansas City Escorts: Columbia Woman Sentenced for Coerced Sex Trafficking of a Child

March 6th, 2012

KANSAS CITY, MO—Beth Phillips, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Kansas City, Missouri woman was sentenced in federal court today for her role in a sex trafficking conspiracy in which a child victim was sold into prostitution.

After discharging a sawed-off shotgun in his front yard, Gathings was incarcerated in state custody. During this time of incarceration, he continued to sell the child victim through the assistance of an organized prostitution ring, operated by Key, called Aleesha’s Angels. Key handled the victim while Gathings was in custody and sold her for sex on his behalf, including scheduling her appointments with customers and advertising her for sex acts on the Internet.
Gathings had the child victim provide him with her prostitution earnings to assist him with bond and later to provide him with funding for his prisoner’s account. Key also profited from the sale of the child victim for commercial sex acts.

Kansas City Adult Entertainment: Sexual predator suspect in prison before

February 25th, 2012

Norman E. Davis, of Kansas City, was charged and convicted of promoting prostitution with a person under 18 in Marion County, Ind.

The Kansas City man accused of trying to lure teenage boys into his car for sex in Independence has a prior record. Norman E. Davis, of Kansas City, was charged and convicted of promoting prostitution with a person under 18 in Marion County, Ind. Sentenced in March 2001, Davis served three years in an Indiana prison. When he was released in 2004, he wasn’t required to register as a sex offender. While state legislators in Indiana have been including more convictions that require registration, Davis has not been required to register because his conviction was before changes in state law. Had he been required, he would have had to update his address when he moved to Missouri. The importance of a national registry isn’t lost on Capt. John Cato with the Independence Police Department. Any kind of database would help in an investigatio …

Kansas City Adult Entertainment: Overland Park Police Mark 15 Prostitution Arrests

February 21st, 2012

Overland Park Police Make 15 Prostitution Arrests
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The world’s oldest profession took a hit in Johnson County. Eight men and seven women have been arrested after a prostitution sting.
It doesn’t take long to find people willing to pay or get paid to have sex. Even though Overland Park Police wouldn’t say how the sting worked, they did say the web creates a huge customer base.
The arrests started on February 16 and ended on February 19. More than half of the people arrested didn’t live in Kansas. Police feel Overland Park’s geographic location is tempting.

Prostitution is illegal and Overland Park Police Capt. James Olney says it can be dangerous for the Johns and the prostitutes.

One of the men picked up in the sting was charged with promoting prostitution. Police say people who recruit or force women into prostitution are important targets for them.
