Key handled the victim while Gathings was in custody and sold her for sex on his behalf, including scheduling her appointments with customers and advertising her for sex acts on the Internet.
Gathings had the child victim provide him with her prostitution earnings to assist him with bond and later to provide him with funding for his prisoner’s account. Key also profited from the sale of the child victim for commercial sex acts.

Overland Park Police Make 15 Prostitution Arrests
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The world’s oldest profession took a hit in Johnson County. Eight men and seven women have been arrested after a prostitution sting.
It doesn’t take long to find people willing to pay or get paid to have sex. Even though Overland Park Police wouldn’t say how the sting worked, they did say the web creates a huge customer base.
The arrests started on February 16 and ended on February 19. More than half of the people arrested didn’t live in Kansas. Police feel Overland Park’s geographic location is tempting.
